The Greco's are at it again

The Greco's are at it again.

January 1st, 2013, John, myself, Gidget & Butch arrived in a place called Zephyrhills, FLorida at an over 55 resort called Glen Haven RV and Mobile Home Park.  We were in the motorhome and wanted to spend a month in the warmth of Florida.  Well, that lasted about 3 days - we fell in love with the park and the people that "winter" there!  Half of the snowbirds are Canadian at the park and the other half are from all over the United States.  The park has over 200 sites and half of the park is motorhomes, fifth wheels, and park models.  The other side of the park is all mobile home sites.

By January 4th, we were looking all over the Tampa Bay area for a second home, townhome, condominium or villa that we could purchase to spent the winters there.  As luck would have it, my favorite place was a mobile home in the park with two gigantic palm trees in the front of it.  It was not for sale, however, so we looked all over at some really nice places in other resorts, country clubs and new subdivisions.  About a week after we began looking, a FOR SALE sign was put up on the railing of the porch of my favorite place.  I called the owner - asked if we could come to see it - saw it - and we bought it!  We came home at the end of the month of January as owners of the mobile home without furniture - well I love to "shop" so we had to go back for the month of March and I had the time of my life - bought furniture for the entire place in two weeks - and spent the next two weeks getting to know our neighbors and making so many friends that we can't wait to spend time with this winter.

Oh, I forgot to tell you - as we were unloading our personal stuff from the motorhome at the house, a man stopped, asked if we wanted to sell it, and left with it four hours later!  We sold the car hauler, and the 2005 JEEP we towed in a week, and John bought a 2013 SUV which we drove home in on April 1st.  It seems that the old saying - "No grass grows under our feet" is fairly true for the Greco's.  When we see what we like we go for it!  LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WASTE TIME PROCRASTINATING!  Go for it Bengals - enjoy every minute you are given because we never know when it will be over.  Bengals - if you are snowbirds in mid to northern Florida, let us know and maybe we can meet for lunch, dinner or a drink somewhere next winter.
